Go Tech launches Android tab for students for Rs 7,999


The company is also offering e-learning platform worth Rs 1,000, ear phone worth Rs 499 and tablet pouch worth Rs 399 absolutely free with this 9.1 inch tablet.

Go Tech, an Indian based company, has announced a new 9.1 inch tablet with Android ICS operating system with education and entertainment contents for Rs 7,999.

Called FunTab Class 9.1, the tablet comes with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system and a 1.5 Ghz processor. The tablet comes with a 5000 mAh Battery, promising 8 hours of internet surfing, 6 hours of video playback or 12 hours of music playback on the earphones. It is loaded with G-Sensor and 3D G-Sensor, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB of internal memory and expandable memory of upto 32 GB.

On the occasion Gaurav Khanna, managing director, Go Tech, said, "We are thrilled to launch FunTab Class 9.1. This tablet is a unique innovative device offering gamut of features and offerings for the consumers."

Funtab Class 9.1 has 1080 high resolution playback support and a 5 point multi-touch screen for gestures. The tablet has 3G connectivity support with its 3G/EVDO Dongle support besides its WiFi connectivity. According to the company, users can download games and applications from 'funbazaar' which mean the tablet may not have support for Google Play Store. The tablet though comes with many pre-loaded application like My News App, EduTv and Ebook Reader, exclusive Health App, YouTube and Facebook. Some utility applications loaded on the tablet include Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint and the pre-loaded web browser.
