Google augments Calendar app for Android

Google Calendar app now shows interactive notification that will let you call or visit the maps directly.

Google has updated its Calendar application for Android devices, packing new improvements for notifications. The Calendar app was separated from the native apps recently and Google had been pushing out updates for the same since last month.

Google Calendar app is great tool for marking important appointments and noting important dates. The update for the Calendar app brings new set of notifications that can let you call from the notification itself. If the notification includes description about a location then you can go to Google Maps directly.

Also, while creating an event, the Calendar app now also lets the user add location quickly to the event with the location suggestion feature. Users can now quickly create an event from the Month view itself.
