HP launches Envy 2 hybrid tablet in India for Rs 60K


To be available from January, the tablet-notebook hybrid comes with high end specification.

PC manufacturer, HP has announced the launch of a new tablet-notebook hybrid device in the Indian market. Called HP Envy 2, the tablet comes with a detachable keyboard that, when added, turns the tablet into a full-fledged notebook.

Featuring a sleek aluminum finish, the Envy 2 weighs 1.42 Kgs with the keyboard, otherwise the tablet weighs just 0.7 Kgs. It has 11.6 inch IPS touchscreen, Windows 8 operating system, 1.8 GHz Intel Atom processor, 2 GB RAM, and Beats Audio technology for superior sound.

The HP Envy 2 has dual cameras as well including one 8 megapixel unit in the rear and an HD webcam in the front. It also comes with NFC besides HDMI, USB 2.0, SD card slot, WiFi, and Bluetooth for connectivity.

To be available from January 2012, the HP Envy 2 is priced at Rs 59,990.
