Nokia plans to unveil the Windows RT based tablet at the Mobile World Congress 2013 in February.
Details of the upcoming Windows RT based Nokia tablet has been revealed.
According to The Verge, which has quoted its sources familiar with Nokia's plans, the Window RT operating system based tablet will feature a 10.1-inch display, USB and HDMI ports. Nokia plans to make the tablet compelling enough to compete with Microsoft's own Surface with Windows RT tablet.
According to the report, Nokia is planning to unveil the tablet during the upcoming Mobile World Congress in February next year. If that happens, then we can only expect the tablet in the second half of the year, just around or before the fall.
The Nokia tablet will feature a 10.1-inch display and we presume that the native resolution might be 1280x800 pixels. This tablet will feature two USB ports and one HDMI port for connectivity. The company will also introduce a keyboard cover that will also act as a kickstand. Nokia also plans to include battery in this cover to add few more hours of run time to the tablet.
Nokia Windows RT tablet clearly aims to compete with the Microsoft Surface tablet. The tablet along will promise about 10 hours of battery. The built-in battery equipped keyboard cover could add couple of hours to that.
Nokia also aims to introduce a Windows 8 powered tablet later next year.
