Entry level Samsung Galaxy Pocket Plus GT-S5301 smartphone will have Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Samsung is set to introduce a new entry level smartphone running Google Android and may brand it as Galaxy Pocket Plus. The new Samsung Galaxy Pocket Plus GT-S5301 smartphone will arrive with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. SamMobile spotted the details of this smartphone in a leaked system update. However, no details on its price or availability are available.

This GT-S5301 model is like an improved version of the current Galaxy Pocket smartphone running Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread. The Galaxy Pocket smartphone features a 2.8-inch touchscreen TN LCD display with 240x320 pixel resolution. Measuring 12mm, the Galaxy Pocket runs an 832 MHz mobile processor, Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread operating system, Bluetooth 3.0 and has 3G network support.

According to the report, the Galaxy Pocket Plus smartphone will come with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. This means that there is a possibility of the Galaxy Pocket to get the Android 4.0 ICS update.

Usually, Samsung puts little bit of extra in the "Plus" branded models which are like the variant successor of the existing models.
