Leaked details reportedly hint that the Sony Yuga will have a full HD display and a 16 MP camera at the back.
Sony Mobile has been reportedly working on a smartphone-tablet hybrid device, codenamed as Yuga. This hybrid device is said to feature a 5-inch touchscreen full 1080p HD display and will run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. Chinese Forum IT168 posted details about the Sony Yuga specifications indicating that it will house a quad-core mobile processor made by Samsung.
The Sony Yuga C660X is set to be launched at Consumer Electronics Show which is to be held next year. Earlier, few images of the smartphone were also leaked.
New details hint that the Sony Yuga smartphone will house a quad-core Samsung Exynos 5 Quad family mobile processor. Inside the chassis, Sony Mobile will add 3 GB RAM (2 GB was previously reported) and 16 megapixel camera at the back. In terms of storage, the poster notes that the phone will support 128 GB storage which can be easily bifurcated as 64 GB on-board and up to 64 GB micro SD card.
Sony Yuga will have dust and water resistant chassis. For longer run time, Sony will pack 3000 mAh battery. Will the Sony Yuga be capable enough to compete with the Galaxy Note III from Samsung? More such powerful devices are expected to be unveiled in coming year but the point of concern is the cost.
