Micromax launches Smarty A54 for Rs 4,659


The new Micromax Smarty A54 comes with a 3.5 inch display and 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

Indian mobile phone brand, Micromax has announced the launch of its latest low cost Android smartphone, the Smarty A54. The Micromax Smarty A54 comes as an affordable upgrade to the cheaper Micromax Smarty A25 with a bigger 3.5 inch display while being priced just right at Rs 4,659. The device is aimed at new Android adopters and youngsters who need the best value for the money spent and the Micromax Smarty A54 does it very well.

The Micromax Smarty A54 is a dual Sim (GSM+GSM) based smartphone and features a bigger 3.5 inch LCD display having a 320 x 480 pixel resolution based display. The device is powered by Google Android Gingerbread 2.3 operating system that runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 7225AA processor running at 1GHz.

The device features 256 MB of RAM and 130 MB internal storage that can be further expanded by another 32 GB with the help of Micro SD memory cards.

The Micromax Smarty A54 is equipped with a 3 megapixel camera for occasional snapping, that comes complete with video recording capabilities as well at 240 x 320 pixel resolution at 30 frames per second.

Smarty A54 also comes with Bluetooth and WiFi for wireless connectivity along with a 1300 mAh battery pack that promises up to 4 hours of talk time between charges. The Micromax Smarty A54 also comes with FM radio and integrated audio video player for entertainment on the go along with the proximity sensor, which was missing in the cheaper Micromax Smarty A25.

The device is available from stores like Infibeam as of now and soon will be made available across all the other stores online as well as offline.
