Nokia EOS Windows Phone with PureView technology due next month

Early reports state that Nokia is planning to launch a Windows Phone device with PureView image sensor, and new aluminium unibody design

Nokia has big surprises packed for the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2013 convention in Barcelona, Spain. The company is already rumoured to introduce a Windows RT based tablet under the Lumia branding. The Verge reporter that the next Windows Phone device is codenamed as Nokia EOS and will integrate PureView level image sensor similar to the one used in 808 PureView. This launch is expected mid of next month at the Mobile World Congress 2013.

Nokia did surprise many by not introducing the PureView imaging technology entirely in the recently launched Windows Phone devices. Instead, the company planned to implement an 8.7-megapixel image sensor in Lumia 920 and packaged an Optical Image Stabilisation technology with it.

Nokia will also use aluminium chassis with a new design for this high-end Windows Phone running device. It will look different than the current generation of Lumia 920 and Lumia 820. The company will also introduce mid-range device scheduled to be available around June.

We have our curiosity hats on and taking this bit of information with a grain of salt till more details on the same are shared by the company.
