The new software update brings some new features along with some fixes for these Windows Phone 8 smartphones.
Nokia India is set to release a new software update for its newly released Lumia 920 and the Lumia 820 smartphones. Dubbed as the Portico, the upgrade is to bring some new features along with better image capturing ability to these Windows Phone 8 based handsets.
The update has already been launched in the USA for Lumia 920 and 820 smartphones and is expected to be launched in India too in the coming times. However, Nokia is yet to say something concrete about the availability of the software update in India.
The Portico upgrade promises fix for the image processing in the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 which resulted in blurry shots even in good light. Along with that the update also fixes the issue with battery consumption as well in the smartphones
It also brings a new "always-on" feature for WiFi with few add-on options like rejecting calls with a message to the caller. The upgrade also adds a brand new browser for the devices which is designed for better web browsing while saving some amount of precious data.
Nokia had launched the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 in India earlier this month for Rs 38,999 and Rs 27,559 respectively.
