QuickTime is indeed a very popular application for Mac users, but despite its large amount of features, it does not offer support for playlists. For some this isn’t a big deal, but for others who are used to such functionality, this is a huge inconvenience. Of course, iTunes supports playlists, but QuickTime doesn’t. However, Playlist Lite for Mac is a workaround to this problem.
Playlist Lite is a simple way to create playlists, and then have it control QuickTime so it will go through the playlist exactly how you set it up. It also supports playlists in iTunes, giving you some more flexibility.
The application is designed to be much like a mini controller: you have your play/pause and seek buttons as well as the track progression indicator at the top, your repeat, shuffle, and playlist modification buttons at the bottom, and your different playlists in the middle. Sadly, as this is a “lite” version, you are currently restricted to only 10 items in your playlists at a time.
Features:
- Create playlists for QuickTime.
- Support for playlists in iTunes.
- Easy to use.
