XOLO X500 officially launched in India for INR 8,999



Lava has officially announced the launch of its second Intel-powered smartphone today in the form of XOLO X500. As we told you yesterday, the X500 has been priced at INR 8,999 and will be available starting Monday.

XOLO X500 will join company X900 in its Intel-smartphone portfolio. Based on Intel’s Lexington platform reference design, XOLO X500 is being launched in the country just a day after Safaricom released Yolo, another smartphone based on the same reference design in Kenya.

XOLO X500 features a 3.5-inch HVGA display, dual-SIM connectivity and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.  The smartphone also packs 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2420 processor (with Hyper Threading technology), 512MB RAM, 1500 mAh battery and 4GB of internal storage.

The smartphone sports a 5MP rear camera with advanced imaging capabilities including a burst mode that allows 7 pictures to be captured in under a second.
