Apple iOS 6.1.1 released for iPhone 4S to fix battery, 3G issues


Apple has pushed new iOS 6.1.1 software update for the iPhone 4S owners after several reports about rapid battery drain and 3G network issues.

After complaints from iPhone users about rapid battery drain and 3G network related issues, Apple has now released the new iOS 6.1.1 software update only for iPhone 4S devices. This update is said to fix the battery drain issues and 3G network glitches.

Earlier, after applying Apple iOS 6.1 Software Update, the iPhone 4S device users noticed that the battery drained rapidly. Not only that, the users faced issues while connecting the phone to the 3G networks.

The update is meant solely for the iPhone 4S model owners meanwhile the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPhone 5 device owners still wait for the update. At the Apple discussion boards, one of the iPhone 3GS owners mentioned that the iOS 6.1 update actually boosted the battery life. Whereas an iPhone 5 owner stated 35 percent battery drain overnight.

Apple iPhone 4S owners can directly download the update over the air else they can connect the device with the iTunes on PC or Mac.
