Mercury launches dongle with voice calling for Rs 1,650


Mercury has launched new 3G dongle that offers 3G speeds up to 7.2 Mbps and also allows one to make voice calls through PCs and tablets.

Inspan Infotech, one of the largest IT distribution companies, has launched two 3G dongles, called Mercury M720V and M720D, with support for up to 7.2 Mbps speed.

Mercury M720V has additional voice calling feature that allows calls through PCs, laptops and tablets. So in case you have got a WiFi only tablet that supports 3G dongles, you do not need to worry about buying a tablet with voice calling function.

Both the dongles offer internet with speed up to 7.2 Mbps and an upload speed up to 5.2 Mbps. The Mercury M720V and M720D dongles are based on Qualcomm MSM6246 (M720V) and MSM7200 chipsets respectively.

Mercury M720 supports micro SD memory card up to 16 GB, while M730D supports up to 32 GB micro SD cards. Both the dongles are plug and play USB units and support Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7, and Windows CE, Linux, Mac OS X 10.4.9 or higher.

Both the dongles come with 1 year warranty and Mercury M730D is priced at Rs 1,550 while Mercury M720V costs Rs 1,650.
