Nokia has big plans related to the Microsoft Windows Phone platform based smartphones for this year. The Guardian reported that the Finnish handset maker is working to bring a Windows Phone device with 41 megapixel image sensor featuring PureView imaging technology. Notably, last year purported details of this handset were leaked last year with codename EOS.
The so called Nokia EOS is speculated to pack a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon mobile processor and with Adreno 320 graphics chip. Its camera would be capable enough to record full 1080p HD videos with Rich Audio.
With the Nokia EOS, the company will gain an upper hand over HTC and Samsung when it comes to the Windows Phone devices. Nokia has already provided plethora of applications for the Lumia range of devices.
Last year, Nokia announced the 808 PureView smartphone with the new PureView imaging technology that basically oversamples the redundant pixels for creating one clearer image. Nokia already introduced the Lumia 920 with optical image stabilisation technology. This allows capturing images even in low light conditions. Apart from that Nokia has also added floating lens technology that basically adds cushions to the camera sensor in case of shakes and jerky movements while capturing a video.
Following that, the company has been expected to bring the PureView imaging technology along with Rich Recording for the Windows Phone devices. The Rich Recording is possible with two sensitive microphones strategically placed. The PureView imaging technology with 41 MP image sensor also brings lossless zoom and several other features to the plate.
