OVGet: Download Videos Off Streaming Sites


Streaming websites is a fun way to pass your time; but sometimes you need to download important videos for offline viewing later on your computer or handheld device. You can download the videos you stream through an app called OVGet.

OVGet is a free to use web service that lets you download videos off video streaming websites. Supported sites so far include YouTube, PutLocker, SockShare, Dailymotion, Metacafe, Veoh, NovaMov, VideoWeed, MovShare, NowVideo, GorillaVid, DivxStage, VuReel, VidBux, AllMyVideos, VidX Den, Facebook, and more.

To get started, all you have to do is enter the URL of the page the video is on. A Java application will run which you will need to allow. All the available video formats will be shown and you can download any one you like; quality descriptions of each file format will also be included.

A direct link, HTML link, and BBCode link will be generated which you can share on forums or your own site. Sharing buttons for Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and Pinterest are given.
