The huge reduction in the prices may up the demand of these handsets.
Samsung has quietly reduced the prices of its Galaxy Note II, Galaxy SIII and the Galaxy S Duos smartphones in the Indian market.
The Samsung Galaxy SIII was launched in the Indian market last year for over Rs 40,000 but later the price was reduced to about Rs 38,000. And with the latest reduction in the prices, the 16 GB version of the Galaxy SIII is now available for Rs 29,480.
Similarly, the Galaxy Note II is now available for around Rs 35,600 as compared to its launched price of Rs 42,000 (16 GB version). The Galaxy S Duos was launched carrying a price tag of Rs 17,000+ but with its first ever price reduction the device is now available for Rs 13,160 only. The device comes in only one variant with 4 GB of onboard storage and a 1 GHz dual core processor.
Since this is the reduction in the MRPs of the smartphones, in the retail market one can also get these handsets for couple of hundreds less.
