Gionee brings ultra thin quad core Android smartphone for Rs 18K


Called Dream D1, it comes with an HD Super Amoled Plus display with 316 ppi screen resolution.

Gionee, a China based handset manufacturer, has announced the launch of a new smartphone called Dream D1. The smartphone is just 8.6 mm thick and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core processor. It has a 4.65 inch HD Super Amoled Plus display, which comes with a scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating. The display of Dream D1 has 316 ppi screen resolution.

The Android OS v4.1 Jelly Bean based smartphone has an 8 megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash. According to the company, the camera has an auto panorama feature that allows it to click 99 pictures in one click. Gionee Dream D1 has a 1 megapixel front facing camera as well. The dual SIM, dual standby Dream-D1 is powered by a 2100 mAh battery and will be available in graphite black colour. It comes bundled with a 16 GB memory card along with 4 GB in-built memory. The Dream-D1 has been priced at Rs 17,999 and will be available from this month itself.
