HTC begins One S Jelly Bean update roll-out in India

HTC has started rolling out Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for One S users in India. Indian One S version features Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor instead S4 processor in other One S phones, thus the delay in the update.

The update is now being released over the air and can be manually triggered by going to Settings<<About Phone<<Software Update. The One S Android 4.1 update is about 598MB in size, so it is strongly recommended that you download this update via Wi-Fi.

According to change-log given on the update notification screen, the update comes with:

Android 4.1.1, HTC Sense 4+
Enhanced UI and better performance in camera
New landing page and Event/Map view in Gallery
Power management improvement
We can also expect to see Jelly Bean features like Project Butter improvements, Google Now, enhanced notifications, enhanced widgets, and new embedded speech recognizer.

HTC One S update details:

Version: 3.19.720.100
As most of the Android update released in batches, so you might not see the update right-away, but you will get it in the next few days.
