Yet another Karbonn Android phone is now available online in the country. Dubbed as Karbonn Titanium S5 aka Smart Titanium 5, the smartphone features a 5-inch qHD display, putting in the phablet category. It is currently listed on Snapdeal (http://www.snapdeal.com/product/karbonn-titanium-s5/810108) with a price-tag of INR 11,990, which is promising to ship it in 12 days, meaning they are yet to get the stocks.
Karbonn Titanium S5 features 1.2GHz quad-core processor (probably the same one in Micromax A116 Canvas HD), 8MP rear camera, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 1GB RAM and 2MP front camera. The smartphone also packs 2000 mAh battery, dual-SIM support, and microSD card slot. There is no word on the internal storage, but it is more likely to be around 4GB as in most of other budget phablets.
The smartphone certainly seems like worthy competitor to Micromax A116 Canvas HD, apart from slightly lower resolution display, everything is similar to the Canvas HD and with a lower price tag.
Given the fact that Micromax is having a hard time in procuring A116 stocks, if you want a decent budget then your best bet is getting Titanium S5 right now.
The Smart Titanium 5 smartphone will join Karbonn’s previous launched Smart Titanium 1, which currently retails for INR 10,990 and comes with 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor, 4.5-inch qHD 960x540p display, 1GB RAM, 4GB of internal storage, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
