Pantel launches dual SIM Jelly Bean tablet for Rs 6,999

Pantel WS708C comes with 7 inch display, 1Ghz processor, 2 megapixel rear and 0.3 MP front camera.

Pantel Technologies has launched a dual SIM tablet with Android Jelly Bean operating system, called the T-Pad WS708C, in the Indian market. The 7 inch Tablet is priced at Rs 6,999.

The tablet comes with a Cortex A9 processor, clocked at 1 GHz. Besides, the tablet has Mali 400 3D Accelerator GPU and 512 MB of DDR3 RAM. The T-Pad WS708C also has 4 GB internal memory and support for 32 GB external micro SD card.

The display of the tablet comes with 800X400 pixel resolution. Surprisingly, both its SIM slots support only 2G data connectivity but the good part is that it supports voice calling on both the SIM cards. For 3G connectivity the tablet supports 3G dongles. The tablet has WiFi, Bluetooth and HDMI port but misses out on GPS.

Pantel T-Pad WS708C comes armed with a 3000 mAH battery. It also gets a 21 megapixel rear camera and a 0.3 Megapixel front camera.

Pantel has also launched its online shopping platform from where one can buy this tablet, the site is called www.grabthefuture.in. Just like other tablets from Pantel will get special data plans from BSNL. However, Pantel has not specified the offer, probably because offers vary from circle to circle.

While having two SIM slots always helps but the lack of 3G option means that the tablet has hardly anything special given that even now tablets are not used for voice calling much.
