HP Slate 7 is now on sale online for $170

HP has finally started selling its seven-inch Android tablet Slate 7 in the United States. Apart from the branding of HP and Beats Audio presence, there is hardly anything interesting about it. With Nexus 7 tablet as its competitor, it has a tough road ahead. If only the company had opted for a HD display, it might have emerged as a decent tablet.

The tablet can now be ordered from the company’s online store in the United States for $169.99. To remind you, HP Slate 7 was originally announced at Mobile World Congress and US is the first country to see its launch.

It is also scheduled to be released in the UK on MAy 1. HP Slate 7 features a 7-inch 1024x600p resolution display. It is powered by 1.6GHz Cortex-A9 dual-core processor. The tablet also features 3MP rear camera, VGA front camera, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and microSD card slot. In addition, there is Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth 2.1, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

HP has also included support HP ePrint as well as its native Android print solution. The tablet is pre-loaded with full suite of Google applications.
