Telecom operator Idea Cellular is planning to launch yet another Android smartphone in the Indian market. The phone – Idea Whiz – has already been listed on the company website and is expected to be officially launched in the next few days. The Idea website listing also revealed the price-tag of the smartphone, which is INR 7,850.
Idea Whiz features 4-inch WVGA display and is powered by 1GHz dual-core processor. The phone runs on Android 4.0. It also sports 5-megapixels rear camera, VGA front camera, dual-SIM support and 1,500 mAh battery.
Similar to other smartphones in Idea’s portfolio, Idea Whiz buyers will also get data benefits with the phone. As per the listing on Idea website, the phone buyers will get 1.6 GB free data per month for 3 months on 3G or Unlimited data on 2G.
To remind you, Idea recently launched Android 4.1 powered Aurus 2 in the country for INR 6,490. With Aurus 2 and Whiz, Idea will have seven Android phones in its portfolio.
