Lava to launch Android 4.2 Jelly Bean tablet for Rs 10,000


The 7 inch IPS display bearing tablet will run on the latest version of Android operating system and will be powered by a 1.5 GHz dual core processor

Lava Mobile is planning to announce a WiFi only tablet under its Etab series with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. The phone, which is to be priced less than Rs 10,000, will be launched by the first week of May and will be available both through online stores as well as physical retail stores, the spokesperson of Lava told thah.

The 7 inch IPS display bearing tablet will run on the latest version of Android operating system and will be powered by a 1.5 GHz dual core processor and 1 GB of RAM. It will have an 8GB of internal storage (expandable), a 2 megapixel rear camera, a VGA front camera and an HDMI port. It will have a 3,700 mAh battery.

Sometime back Lava had launched Etab and ETab Xtron for Rs 9,500 and Rs 6,500 respectively.

Etab has calling facility and came with 1 GHz single core Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, 7 inch display and Android 4.0 OS. While ETab Xtron has 1.5 GHz dual core processor, quad core graphics processor and 1 GB RAM. The tablet also had a 2 megapixel front camera.

Lava Etab Xtron also has a 7 inch IPS display and 8 GB of internal memory of which 5 GB is usable. It has expandable storage capacity of 32 GB. It was a WiFi only and has a 3500 mAh battery.
