Micromax launches A72 Canvas Viva phablet for INR 6,499

After going on sale online, Micromax A72 Canvas Viva has been officially launched in the country for INR 6,499. This 5-inch phablet packs some not so-impressive specifications for the given price-tag, but it will give opportunity to consumers, who desperately want a 5-inch under INR 7,000.

A clear no-recommendation from our side, A72 Canvas Viva is powered by 1GHz single core processor. It comes with just 256MB of RAM and runs on outdated Android 2.3. There is no 3G connectivity or GPS in the phone.

A72 packs dual-SIM GSM+GSM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 110 MB of on-board storage. The phone also packs 2,000 mAh battery and 5-inch display with WVGA resolution.

On the imaging front, Canvas Viva includes a 3.2MP rear camera and 0.3MP front camera. You can find the full set of specifications later in the post.

What do we recommended instead of Micromax A72 Canvas Viva?

You can opt for XOLO A500, which packs Android 4.0, 4-inch display, 3G and dual-core CPU. You can also choose Spice Stellar Nhance Mi-435, which comes with 1GHz dual-core processor, 4-inch display, 8MP rear camera and 512MB RAM. Both the phones are currently priced around INR 7,000.
