Samsung Galaxy S4 India launch on April 26

Samsung India has started sending out invites to the tech press in India for the announcement of Galaxy S 4 smartphone. The press event is scheduled on April 26, the same day on which Samsung is reportedly launching Galaxy S4 in multiple countries across the globe.

There is still no final word on the actual availability of the phone, which may or may not go on sale the same day. If previous Galaxy S-series devices are any indication, the company will start taking pre-orders for the phone on April 26 on its official e-store and other online retailers, but the device will be released in early May. But, we would rather wait for the official announcement before making any more assumptions.

The phone is expected to be priced around INR 42,000 (MRP), but the street price is expected to be in the vicinity of INR 40,000. We are also hearing INR 43,490 to the MRP of the device, but it is unconfirmed.

Samsung Galaxy S 4 runs on Android 4.2.2 with TouchWiz UI on top. The phone is powered by Exynos 5 Octa processor (Snapdragon 600 in some markets).  We are still not sure on which processor will be used in the Indian variant, but chances are that we might see Snapdraon 600, unlike previous reports that suggested the presence of Exynos 5 Octa.

The smartphone also features 5-inch Super AMOLED full HD display, 2GB of RAM and 13-megpixels rear camera. The phone also comes with 2.1MP front-shooter, 16GB of internal storage, and microSD card slot.
