Samsung to manufacturer Galaxy S4 in India: Report


Samsung has revealed that it will soon start manufacturing the recently launched Galaxy S4 smartphone in India itself. The Android smartphone will be made at the company’s Noida factory, which already manufactures 35-40 million phones including Galaxy S III.

“We are planning to start manufacturing of S4 soon at our Noida facility,” Samsung Mobile and Digital Imaging Country Head Vineet Taneja told PTI. Samsung however did not reveal an exact time-frame.

The company currently imports Galaxy S4 units from South Korea.

To remind you, Samsung Galaxy S4 went on sale in India over the weekend and has been priced at INR 41,500. You can grab the phone at all major retailers as well as online for this price-tag.

Samsung is currently the smartphone market leader in the India and Galaxy S4 is further going to help the company in cementing the position.
