Acer today announced a new Android tablet at a press event in New York. Dubbed as Iconia A1, the tablet will be the company’s competitor to Apple iPad Mini. According to Acer, Iconia A1 will be priced starting $169.99, when it goes on sale next month in the United States.
The tablet features a 7.9-inch IPS display with 1024x768p resolution and is powered by 1.2GHz Mediatek quad-core processor. Acer Iconia A1 runs on Android 4.2. You can check out detailed specifications at the end of the report.

This is not the first time that we are seeing this tablet; the same tablet has been leaked multiple times in the past as Acer Iconia A1-810 (1).
The Iconia A1-810 will be sold in 8GB and 16GB capacity, while we have already told you about the 8GB pricing, the 16GB version will be available at a price-tag of $199.99. The tablet also supports microSD card for further expansion of the storage.
