Konka officially launches 5 inch Tuxedo 990 in India


The phone is selling for Rs 11,999 and comes with a 1 GHz dual core processor, Android 4.0 OS, and a 5 megapixel camera.

Konka, a new entrant in the Indian phone market, has officially launched a new 5 inch Android 4.0 phone Konka Tuxedo 990. The smartphone has a 5 inch super LCD IPS display.

It is powered by a 1 GHz dual core processor coupled with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB inbuilt memory, and with a 5 megapixel auto focus camera at the back and a 0.3 megapixel front camera.

The phone gets a 2400 mAh battery and supports WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS. Konka has also included some built in apps like Smart Stay (like Samsung Galaxy S4,) which keep the display on as long as you are looking at it.

Konka is also offering India specific apps and services with its K-Connect, MyCloud and K-Store. Phones with similar features like Micromax Canvas 2 A110, Lava Iris N501and many other 5 inch dual core processor phones available for Rs 9,999 or less.

However, the SLCD display of Konka is technically better than others.
