RCom CDMA handset for Rs 150!


The phone can be used on Tata, Reliance and MTS networks too.

If you are looking for a phone almost for free then this may be of interest to you. Jivi Mobiles - a new entrant in the mobile phone market - has launched a new CDMA mobile phone, called JV C200. The phone, which is priced at just Rs 1,150 - comes with an offer from Reliance Communications, which is 1000 free minutes of Reliance to Reliance calls every month for three months. So in a way the phone would cost you just Rs 150.

Moreover, existing RCom subscribers will get 200 minutes of Reliance to Reliance talk time free and all local and national SMS messages at a subsidised price of 10 paise per SMS, for the first three months. Meanwhile, Jivi has also said that it will launch more CDMA feature phones and smartphones in the coming days.

JV C200 comes with a 1000 mAh BL-5C battery (used in entry level Nokia phones and easily available across India,) offering claimed talktime of 4.5 hours. The JV C200 allows 1500 contacts in the phonebook, up to 500 SMS messages and supports a 4 GB memory card for all MP3 content. Jivi JV C200 comes with a music player and a large speaker too, and it also offers games like Tetris, Boxman and Go Bang. The phone can be used on Tata, Reliance and MTS networks too.
