Sony ‘Honami’ camera details leaked online

After some impressive rumoured specifications, Sony Honami is in the news once again. More details about this smartphone’s camera have appeared online.

According to a report in VR-Zone, Sony Honami (codename) will come with Sony 1/1.6? Exmor RS stacked sensor along with Cybershot G glass lens. According to the site, the sensor size is biggest among all Android phones (and almost all phones) and smaller than just smartphone – Nokia’s Pureview 808.

The site also claims that Sony will be including a revamped camera UI as well as a new image processing algorithm in Honami.  The phone will also come with Superior Auto Scene Recognition, an improvement over the Superior Auto mode found in the Xperia Z/ZL.

Among other details, Sony is mulling between Xenon and dual-LED flash to include in the smartphone.

VR Zone further adds that the large camera sensor is likely to impact the thickness of Honami, which might come out as almost 10mm thick smartphone.

Sony is reportedly using metal, glass and carbon fibre in the construction in this rumoured smartphone and it is likely to be announced in second half of this year.
