Archy: Easy To Use Google Drive Manager [Mac]

There is already an official Google Drive app for Mac, so why would you want a third-party application instead of the one made by Google? Well of course it is a matter of preference, but the official Google app is not the most user friendly program out there. If you are looking for some a little easier to use, Archy is a fantastic option.

Another awesome thing about Archy is that it fits in with the design of OSX much better than the Google app. Mac apps tend to have a certain look and feel, and Archy matches that style much better. Unfortunately, Archy does suffer from one of the biggest drawbacks of the Google Drive app. You cannot edit documents right from the program. Clearly, this is a limit of the Drive platform. Still, you can use Archy to open the docs in Offline Google Docs, or any other app, and edit them there and save them later.

Archy has lots of sharing options to make the process easier. All you have to do is drop the file in and choose who to share it with. It’s the quickest, easiest way I have come across to share files in Google Drive. Archy looks great and is available for free.

Features:

  • User friendly Google Drive manager for Mac.
  • Has the more typical OSX look and feel.
  • View docs and open them in any app of your choice for editing.
  • Easy sharing functions.
  • Free to use.
