BlackBerry in talks to pre-load BBM on select Android phones

Blackberry is reportedly in talks with various Android manufacturers to pre-load its BlackBerry Messenger on their devices. “There is interest from other handset makers,” BlackBerry COO Kristian Tear told CNET recently.

BlackBerry did not reveal the names of these manufacturers but it is safe to say that Samsung won’t be the pre-loading BBM as it already has its ChatOn messenger service. The manufacturers like Huawei, ZTE or even LG and HTC are likely to integrate it in their smartphones.

BlackBerry had earlier announced that it is taking BBM cross platform and it will soon be released in Google Play and Apple’s iTunes Appstore.  Although, BlackBerry is yet to reveal the exact date of the BBM Android version availability, some rumours hint at June 27 to be the day.
