Facebook for iOS gets emoticons, privacy options

Facebook has pushed a new update that allows the users to add emotions and better privacy options for the official app on the iOS platform.

The official Facebook app for iOS platform has got a minor but significant update. The new Facebook app version 6.2 brings in new privacy options and also new stylized emoticon characters for the status updates.

Facebook had recently enabled emoticons in the Status updates for the web version. Now the same emoticons are now made available for the Facebook users to share the rhetorical activities such as eating, drinking or listening to music. The wide category of icons listed by categories are aimed to make the usual text only status updates more visually emotive.

Apart from that, the users now get better privacy options in the mobile for now they get to choose who can view their posts. By choosing appropriate settings, the user can share the posts with all or select number of users.

With this update, the users can now start conversations from the photos received in the messages.
