Samsung announces Galaxy S4 LTE-A: World’s first LTE-Advanced Smartphone

Samsung today unveiled the world’s first LTE-Advanced smartphone in the form of Galaxy S4 LTE-A. An upgraded version of the company’s internationally available Samsung Galaxy S4, the new smartphone not only offers better data download speeds but overall performance improvements, thanks to the presence of Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.

“The introduction of the GALAXY S4 LTE-A demonstrates Samsung’s desire and ability to provide consumers with technological innovations that take advantage of increased network speeds to deliver richer and fuller experience,” said JK Shin, CEO and President of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics.

According to Samsung, Galaxy S4 LTE-A will be available in South Korea this summer in Blue Arctic and Red Aurora colours.

The specifications of Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE-A are largely same as the normal Galaxy S4 apart from the Snapdragon 800 instead of Snapdragon 600 and 32GB of internal storage.
