Spice Stellar Price Mi510 announced

The phone gets slightly lower specifications compared to other quad core phones from Spice, like a 512 MB RAM and 854 x 480 pixel display resolution.

Spice has listed a new 5 inch quad core Android phone on its website. The phone, called Spice Stellar Prime Mi510, has a 5 inch display with 854 x 480 pixel resolution, 1.2 GHz quad core processor and 512 MB RAM.

It has an 8 megapixel camera at the back and a 3.2 megapixel unit in the front. The Android 4.2 based dual 3G SIM phone is powered by a 2100 mAh battery. Spice Stellar Prime Mi510 comes with 4 GB built in memory, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, and WiFi. The phone also has SRS certification promising better sound quality. Spice has included a flip to silent feature, which puts the incoming call ring on silent when you flip the phone.

While the phone has almost all the features that quad core phones these days come with, Spice has used a lower resolution display compared to the HD or at least qHD display that most brands use. Also, Stellar Mi510 has only 512 MB RAM compared to 1 GB RAM normally used in this category. These two factors make us believe that the phone will be priced at around Rs 9,000 at launch (prices drop later). If that is indeed the case the phone might appeal to many people who would otherwise buy a dual core 5 inch phone.
