RCom is looking forward to the launch of next version of iPhone.
Reliance Communication, which has today slashed its 3G prices, is looking to offer bundled smartphones from its preferred partners (handset players) with its SIM and exclusive data plans.
Gurdeep Singh, president and chief executive officer, wireless RCom said that, "Smartphones are future and to increase data consumption on them we have slashed our 3G data prices and to make it even better in coming days we will be launching handsets from HTC, Micromax and Lenovo bundled with our SIM and exclusive 3G data plans."
He further added that the bundled handsets they plan to launch will not be SIM locked. He didn't share information about whether the handsets will be offered at subsidized rates or will there be a reverse bundling.
RCom has set a target of getting more than 40 per cent of Indian smartphone users on its network.
Gurdeep also added that he is looking forward to the launch of next version of iPhone so that RCom can come out with unique data plans for it also similar to what they have done for iPhone 5.
