Samsung is reportedly working on the next-generation Nexus 10 tablet as well. According to Wall Street Journal’s Amir Efrati, who talked to Android boss Sundar Pichai at yesterday’s Google press event, Google will soon be releasing Nexus 10 successor to join the new Nexus 7.
There is no word on the exact launch of new Nexus 10 but we now have a confirmation that it is being built by Samsung (the original Nexus 10 was also made by Samsung).
The specifications of this upcoming tablet are also a mystery at this moment but we can speculate that Google would like to upgrade the specs of the original Nexus 10. While, the screen resolution isn’t likely to be bump, the processor would surely be upgraded. Other specs are also expected to get a boost.
Google expects to make money from Nexus 7 and Chromecast
In related news, Sundar Pichai also told Efrati that there is a profit margin even in the $35 price-tag of Chromecast and $229.99 price-tag of Nexus 7. Both the devices are expected to generate decent sales for the company and would certainly make some profit for Google if not a lot.
