Samsung to launch Galaxy Tab 3 tablets in India on July 18

Samsung India is planning to launch the Galaxy Tab 3 series of tablets in the country tomorrow. The company has already sent out invites for the event to the tech press and is also teasing the tablets via official social channels.

Samsung is likely to first release the Galaxy Tab 3 7-inch in the country, followed by Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch and 10.1-inch. There is no word on the pricing of any of the tablets right now but we will know in the next 24 hours.

To remind you, Samsung Galaxy 3 7-inch comes with 7-inch 1024x600p display, Android 4.1, and 1.2GHz dual-core processor. The tablet also comes with 1GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage and microSD card slot. 3G version of the tablet is likely to be released initially.

On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy Tab 8-inch and 10.1-inch tablets come with Android 4.2 and 1280x800p resolution display. In other specs, the 8-inch tablet packs 1.5GB of RAM, 4450 mAh battery, 5MP rear camera and 1.5GHz dual-core processor. The 10-inch tablet features 1GB of RAM, 6800 mAH battery, 3MP rear camera and 1.6GHz dual-core Intel processor.

Apart from the specifications of the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, other two tablets come with entry-level features and Samsung will have to price them very aggressively to get any consumers.
