Asus has silently released the upgraded version of Asus Fonepad tablet in the Indian market. It was originally released in Asus’ home country Taiwan, back in May this year. The tablet is now available at Flipkart for INR 17,999.
The upgraded version of Fonepad included a better 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2460 processor instead of 1.2 GHz Intel Atom Z2420 in the original. The internal storage has also been increased to 32GB from 8GB.
These are not big changes but certainly add an option for consumers, who would like extra storage and get slightly more powerful processor as a bonus. The original Asus Fonepad continues to sell at INR 15,999 in the country.
