5 inch Sony Xperia C coming to India; may be priced at Rs 15K

Sony Xperia C has a quad core processor, 1 GB RAM, and 8 megapixel rear camera.

Sony's Xperia C, which was unveiled in June this year in China at the Mobile Asia Expo, will soon hit the Indian market. The handset has been listed online (on Saholic) but its price has not been revealed. As per rumours, this smartphone will be priced around Rs 15,000.

Sony Xperia C comes with a 5 inch TFT LCD touchscreen that has qHD (540x960 pixels) resolution. This Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system based smartphone comes with Mediatek MT6589 quad core processor, 4 GB internal memory, 1 GB RAM, and 32 GB micro SD card slot.

Besides, this handset has 8 megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera, LED flash, and 2390 mAh Li-Ion battery promising 14 hours of 2G talktime. The dual SIM bearing Sony Xperia C has WiFi, Bluetooth, micro USB, and GPS as well.

As per its specifications, as I said earlier, it is likely to be priced around Rs 15,000. There are dozens of smartphones in this price range, mostly from Indian manufacturers, that offer similar or better features. Even Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro comes with similar features and is currently available in India for around Rs 16,500.
