Google has revealed that it has started rolling out the first software update to Chromecast TV dongle on Wednesday. This update isn’t a major one but brings performance and stability improvements.
“Today, we are pushing a bug fix update to Chromecast devices to improve performance, reliability and security. The update will roll out over the next few days and will happen automatically; users do not need to take any action,” noted Ambarish Kenghe, Chromecast Product Manager in a blog post.
As Kenghe states, users don’t need to do anything, the update will automatically get downloaded and installed as soon as it is available for your device.
Update details:
New Build number: 12840 (Previous update build was 12078)
