Huawei Ascend P1 GSM version now on pre-order for INR 12,990

Huawei is planning to launch the HSPA version of Ascend P1 smartphone in the Indian market soon. The smartphone on Thursday appeared at online retailer Flipkart in the form of a pre-order listing.

Expected to become available in the third-week of this month, Huawei Ascend P1 has been priced at INR 12,999. Originally announced at Consumer Electronics Show last year, Ascend P1 is actually a pretty old smartphone and the LTE version of the phone was released in the country back in 2012.

It runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is powered by 1.5GHz dual-core processor. The smartphone also features 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage and microSD card slot.

In addition, Ascend P1 comes with 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, and 1670 mAh battery. There is no confirmation on when the smartphone will be getting the Jelly Bean update, although there have been reports that Huawei plans to update the update in near future.
