Intex releases Cloud X4 and Y2 budget Android smartphones in India

Computer peripherals maker Intex has added two new Android smartphones to its Cloud range today. Dubbed as Intex Cloud X4 and Cloud Y2, the newly released smartphones are available across major retailers in the country.

“Our latest offerings in the ‘Cloud’ series offer an enhanced mobility experience to users who demand the best of features and performance from their smartphones and are economical too,” said Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, GM-Mobility Division, Intex Technologies (I) Ltd.

Coming to the individual smartphones, Intex Cloud X4 features dual-SIM support, 3.5-inch HVGA display, 1GHz processor, 256MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM. The phone also comes with Android 4.2, 3.2MP rear camera, VGA front camera, microSD card slot and the usual connectivity options.

On the other hand Intex Cloud Y2 packs 4-inch WVGA display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. The phone also features Android 4.2, 5MP rear camera, front camera,  and 1500 mAh battery.

Intex has also pre-loaded some applications as well as an app store on the smartphones, such as Matrabhasha, an app that enables users to use their smartphone in their own mother tongue; Intex Life Box, a mobile lifestyle portal which brings all popular and useful services to the fingertips of the user; Intex zone, which provides easy access to the Intex website on all product details and Intex Play app store.
