US telecom operator Verizon Wireless has put LG Enact Android smartphone on sale today. The phone features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and comes with entry-level specifications. Slide-out QWERTYs were once an important part of Android ecosystem but are no longer seen these days and LG Enact is probably the first such device to be launched this year.
LG Enact packs 4-inch WVGA display, Android 4.1.2, 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8930 processor, 8GB of internal memory and microSD card slot. The phone also comes with 5MP rear camera with LED flash, VGA front camera, 2460 mAh battery and LTE support.
The phone comes pre-loaded with LG’s software customisations like VuTalk, Quick Translator, QSlide 2.0, QuickMemo, Smart Screen, and more.
LG Enact has been priced at $19.99 with the usual two-year contract or $349.99 without any contract. There is no word on whether the phone will be released in other markets and if it does, it will most probably carry a different name.
