Sony Xperia Tablet Z gets Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update

Sony has started the roll out Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for its premium Xperia Tablet Z.

Sony Mobile has still not given up on its premium Google Android based tablet - Xperia Tablet Z. The company has begun the roll out the new Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update wrapped in 10.3.1.A.0.244 build number. The same build number packs the update for Xperia Z, Xperia ZR and Xperia ZL handsets as well.

The Xperia Tablet Z (http://www.sony.co.in/product/sgp321) has a 10.1 inch LCD display with 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution and is powered by a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro mobile processor with 2 GB RAM. This powerful tablet comes with 16 GB on-board storage (for India region) and also offers 4G LTE network support.

The Xperia Tablet Z is water and dust resistant to let the user enjoy multimedia content in any kind of environment. At the rear, it packs an 8 megapixel camera with Exmor R mobile image sensor for great quality photos even in low light conditions. The front facing 2.1 megapixel camera is capable of holding a full 1080p HD video chat. The device has Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update running on it.

The new Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for Xperia Tablet Z has a notification bar on the top. The virtual buttons are placed in the center. Users can access the quick settings with a pull-down gesture.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z is being sold in India for a best buy price of about Rs. 42,990.
