Apple planning a 6 inch iPhone as well

With 4 inch device being in its portfolio, the interest in bigger screen devices seems to be reaching out to Apple as well.

Apple is planning to bring bigger screen display bearing iPhone models, according to a report of Wall Street Journal. As per the report, Apple is mulling to bring iPhone models with screen sizes staring form 4.7 inches to 6 inches.

People familiar with the matter also point at the possibility of Apple launching the so called iPhone 5S, which is expected to be announced this September 10, with a big screen.

Apple has always tried to keep the display size on their devices smaller as it aides single had utility but the huge demand for phablets may force it to launch larger iPhones. The demand for phablets is quite obvious a Samsung has recently launched the Galaxy Mega 6.1 and Mega 5.8 smartphones apart from launching a range of 5 inch screen bearing devices. Sony and HTC have also started launching 5+ inch devices, the latest being the Xperia Z Ultra of Sony.
