Sony has announced the successor to its Walkman F800 music player in the form of WalkMan F886 on Wednesday. Powered by Android 4.1, the new WalkMan F886 has quite some improvements over the last-generation.
As per a press release issued by the company, Sony Walkman F886 features a 4-inch FWVGA Triluminos display, 32GB of internal storage, NFC and Bluetooth. Considering the presence of NFC on-board, now users will be able to connect to several Sony speakers, headphones and other audio products with a single tap.
According to Sony, F886 comes with the latest S-Master HX digital amplifier, which reduces distortion and noise at all frequency ranges and is optimised for High-Resolution Audio.
It is already up for pre-order in select European countries, where is will be sold at 329 euros or 249 pounds (in UK) with expected availability sometime in October. There is no word on other markets right now.
