Facebook has announced that it has released a major update for its Android launcher Facebook Home. With the latest update, Facebook Home users (if there are any) can choose to view content from their Flickr, Pinterest, Tumblr and Instagram accounts on their phone lock-screen. It was earlier limited to only Facebook content.
“Today you can view more of the content you care about on your lock screen. When you wake up your phone, swipe through photos and posts from Flickr, Pinterest, Tumblr and Instagram, in addition to Facebook,” Tom Alison, Engineering Manager, Facebook wrote in a blog post.
Although Facebook Home app update is already available in Google Play, the Flickr, Pinterest, Tumblr and Instagram content integration will only be available for Facebook for Android beta users initially. Others will get it on a later date.
Facebook Home is still supported on very few Android devices and no new devices seem to have been added with the latest update.
Other changes as a part of latest Facebook Home update
Use the Home app just as your lock screen or as your lock screen and app launcher
