Lenovo has introduced a new MiiX2 tablet with 8-inch HD display, powered by quad-core Intel Atom Bay Trail-T mobile chipset and runs Windows 8.1 OS.
Lenovo has announced a new tablet - MiiX2, with Windows 8.1 operating system.
The Lenovo MiiX2 has an 8-inch touchscreen display with 1280x800 pixel resolution. The tablet runs on the full version of Windows 8.1 operating system and comes with Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013 version installed on it. The tablet has a dedicated Windows Key at one of the chin in portrait mode. On the opposite end, it has a 2 megapixel camera on the top for video chat. At the rear lies a 5 megapixel camera to click images and record videos.
The MiiX2 tablet is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom "Bay Trail-T" mobile chipset and integrates Intel HD Graphics (Generation 7) with Clear Video HD technology for smoother video performance. This powerful hardware will ensure responsiveness and smoother experience with the Windows 8.1 OS. By default, the tablet will come with 128 GB on-board storage and one can add up to 32 GB micro SD card to the memory slot.
The most interesting aspect of the Lenovo MiiX2 is that it will be made available later this month for $299 or Rs 18,000 approximately and will compete with the likes of the Google Nexus 7 tablet. In all fairness, the MiiX2 makes more sense for an avid Windows platform user.
