Samsung might announce its flexible display smartphone next week: Report

Reports originating from South Korea indicate that Samsung might unveil its first flexible display smartphone as early as next week. The revelation comes from a Samsung executive, who apparently revealed this at a press event.

Other details are unknown at this point but the phone is said to be a variant of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 smartphone with the display replaced with a flexible panel. As other parts of the phone are still going to be non-flexible, the overall unit will not see much change and will just have a more durable display.

The phone will reportedly come with high-end specifications like Snapdragon 800 processor, LTE-A and full HD display.

The phone is already in mass production stage and will be official launched later this month. Other details are a mystery at this point.
